SDE’s safeguarding policies include measures to prevent harm, such as screening job candidates and designing programs and projects to prevent abuse and neglect of vulnerable individuals.

SDE’s safeguarding policies include procedures for responding to concerns, such as establishing a complaint response mechanism and designating focal points for receiving complaints.
Protection of rights
SDE’s safeguarding policies protect the rights of people in accordance with relevant local and international laws.
Transparency
SDE's safeguarding policies are meticulously crafted to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved in our programs. These policies are made easily accessible and widely distributed to children, caregivers, staff, and volunteers. Furthermore, all personnel working at SDE, including staff, interns, and volunteers, are mandated to undergo annual safeguarding training and refresher courses. These training sessions are designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and skills for effectively identifying and addressing safeguarding concerns. Attendees are required to sign off to confirm their completion of the training, ensuring their commitment to upholding the highest standards of safeguarding practices within our organization.
